Numbers only help if they change what you do. A MyInfo Premium card shows total and unique visits, by day, per card, over a date range you choose. That is enough to run small experiments on where and how you share your card. This post shows four you can start this week, using only what analytics actually reports.
What the numbers can and cannot tell you
Analytics counts visits to your own cards. You see total visits, unique visits and the trend by day, for one card or all cards. You do not see who visited, and your own opens can add to the count, so treat the numbers as a guide, not an audit. If you need names, that is a job for lead capture. Read how to read your analytics for where to find them, and how to know if your digital business card is working for the basics.
Experiment 1: change one place at a time
Put your QR code in one new place for a week, such as a counter sign or a printed invoice, and keep everything else the same. Compare that week's visits with the one before. If visits rise, keep the placement; if not, try another. See where to put your QR code.
Experiment 2: measure an event
Check visits for the days before, during and after an event, and compare with an ordinary week. A jump on the day after suggests people scanned and came back. Which events produce the most views is explored in which events give you the most card views.
Experiment 3: compare two cards
If you keep a personal card and a company card, look at them one at a time over the same dates. The one that is opened more is the one people prefer to be handed. Apply what you learn to the other, such as a clearer title or a stronger first link. See personal card vs company card.
Experiment 4: check your follow-up
After you send your link to ten people, look at the next day's unique visits. If only a few opened it, shorten your message or lead with a clearer call to action. Then act on the interest; see follow up within 24 hours.
Keep it simple
Make one change, wait a week, and note the result in your monthly 5-minute routine. Analytics is part of Premium, activated with a licence PIN from a MyInfo partner; see when to upgrade to Premium. Create your card to begin.
