Update your digital business card after a company rebrand

A practical checklist for updating your MyInfo card after a new logo, colours or company name, and what to do when the card address itself no longer fits.

A rebrand is easy to announce and slow to finish. The website changes first, the signage later, and the old business cards sit in drawers for years. A digital business card is the quickest part to fix, because you edit it once and every shared link, QR code and NFC card shows the new version. This checklist covers what to update on your MyInfo card after a new logo, new colours or a new company name.

Start with the details people read

Open the Content tab and change your company name, job title and website, following edit your card details. Check the About text for the old name too. If you also changed your number or role, the steps in what to do when your job title or number changes apply the same way.

Replace the logo and banner

Upload the new photo or logo and banner using add your photo and banner. Keep images light, since they are optimised on upload, and check the result in the live preview on a phone-sized screen. If an upload fails, see fix photo upload problems.

Update the colours once, for every card

If your company uses a saved theme, edit the theme with your new brand colours and fonts. Every card using that theme updates at once, so a whole team of cards can change together. The theme studio checks that text and background colours are readable together. If your cards use built-in templates instead, switch them to a saved theme first, see create and apply a theme and keep your brand consistent across cards.

Be honest about the card address

A card address cannot be changed after the card is created. If it contains the old company name, you have two choices. You can keep the address, which still works and keeps every QR code and NFC card valid, or you can create a new card with a new address and update the places that use the old one. The second path is easier with a duplicate card, which copies the content to a new card. Duplicating does not copy a Premium plan, PIN or private settings, so set those up again.

Review your link buttons, social icons and text sections, and remove anything that points to the old name. If you printed the QR code on materials, test it on your own phone. A code for an unchanged address keeps working with no reprint, see QR placement and size rules.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to reprint my NFC cards after a rebrand?

Not if you keep the same card address. The chip holds the link, not the content, so visitors see your updated card. Only a new address needs the link re-written, as explained in program an NFC card.

Can I change my card address to the new company name?

No, an address is fixed once created. Create a new card with the new address, or keep the current one. See choose your card address.
