Run two businesses? Duplicate your card instead of starting over

MyInfo lets you duplicate an existing card to start a second business's card from a copy. Here's exactly what carries over and what doesn't.

Running a side business alongside your main one, or two separate ventures under your own name, means presenting two different professional identities. Building a second digital business card from zero — retyping your bio, re-adding every link, picking a theme again — takes longer than it should when most of it barely changes between the two. MyInfo's duplicate feature does that repeated work for you.

Why duplicate instead of starting from scratch

If your second business shares a bit of yourself with the first — your phone number, WhatsApp, photo, or general layout — starting the new card from an exact copy is faster than building it in an empty editor. You end up editing three or four fields instead of filling in the whole card again.

What duplicating copies — and what it doesn't

Duplicating a card copies its content: name, title, links, sections and theme. It does not copy anything to do with the plan. The new card always starts on the free plan, even if the original is Premium — a duplicate never carries over a private access code, a bypass destination, or an active licence PIN. That's deliberate: two businesses are two different products, and MyInfo resolves plans separately for every card, so a duplicate should never inherit Premium it wasn't paid for.

Duplicate a card, step by step

  1. From your dashboard's card list, find the card you want to copy and choose Duplicate.
  2. Enter a new card name when prompted. Card names are permanent and can never be reused by anyone once claimed, so pick the second business's address carefully the first time.
  3. Open the new card in the editor and update whatever is different: business name, bio, links, a separate phone line if you have one, and services.

Free and Premium are separate per card

Because plans are set card by card, not account-wide, you can keep the new card on the free plan while your main card stays Premium, or upgrade the new one independently once it starts generating enquiries of its own — see lead capture if the second business needs its own enquiry inbox.

Keep the two businesses looking distinct

A shared photo and phone number is fine; a shared look usually isn't. Give the second card its own theme — a different accent colour, or a different one of the eight ready-made styles — so a visitor never wonders which business they landed on. If your goal is managing a whole team's cards rather than your own two ventures, see setting up cards for a team instead.

Ready to split your two businesses onto two cards? Create your first card if you haven't already, then duplicate it the moment the second one needs its own identity.

Frequently asked questions

Does duplicating a card cost anything?

No. Duplicating creates a new card on the free plan, the same as creating one from scratch. You only pay if you choose to activate a Premium licence PIN on the new card later.

Can I duplicate a Premium or private card?

Yes, but the copy starts fresh: it does not carry over the original's Premium plan, licence PIN, private access code or bypass destination. You would need to activate a new licence PIN on the duplicate to add Premium features to it too.
