A promotion, a new UAE mobile number or a move to another company used to mean a box of reprinted paper cards and a pile of outdated ones in drawers. With a digital business card, a change is an edit, not a print run. This guide shows what to change, in what order, and how to let your existing contacts know.
Change the details that moved
Sign in, open My cards, pick the card and stay on the Content tab. Use the pen icon beside Job title, Company, Mobile phone, Office phone, Public email or Website, then select Save change. The public card updates as soon as you save. The steps are in edit your card details.
Check the links that point to the old role
A new employer often means a new website, LinkedIn headline or booking page. Open your own card on your phone and tap every social icon and button. Replace anything that still points to the old role, following add social and custom links.
Refresh the photo and About text
If your role changed, your About text probably did too. Keep it to a few lines and move longer detail into a text section. Swap the banner if it carries an old company logo. See add your photo and banner.
Keep the card address, change the content
Your card address cannot be changed later, which is why a neutral name such as your own name works across jobs. If you left a company and the address carries its name, create a new card for the new role and keep the old one tidy. See create a card for someone else or your team.
Tell people who already saved you
Anyone who tapped Save Contact earlier holds a copy of your old details on their phone. The card link and QR code never change, so a short WhatsApp or email message with your card link lets them save the new version. See how visitors save your contact.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a new QR code or NFC card when my number changes?
No. The QR code and NFC chip hold only your card address. Edit your details and everyone who opens the link sees the latest version, so nothing printed needs to be replaced.
Will contacts who saved my old number get the update automatically?
No. A saved contact is a copy on the other person's phone. Send them your card link and they can save the updated details in one tap. Anyone opening your link later always sees the current version.
