A 5-minute monthly routine to keep your digital business card sharp

A short monthly checklist for your MyInfo digital business card: recheck details, photo, links and analytics before a contact spots a problem first.

A digital business card is easy to update, but easy to update does not mean it updates itself. A job title that changed six months ago, a link to a booking page you retired, a photo from a role you have since left — none of these fix themselves. A short monthly pass catches them before a contact does. Here is a checklist that takes about five minutes.

Reread your details as a stranger would

Open the Content tab and read your Display name, Job title, Company, About text, phone numbers, email and website exactly as someone meeting you for the first time would. Anything out of date takes one tap to fix — see edit your card details. This is also the moment to trim an About section that has grown too long; keep it a few lines and move the rest into a text section.

Look at your photo and banner with fresh eyes

A profile photo from an old job, or a banner advertising an event that already happened, is easy to stop noticing once it has been on your card for months. Swap either from your media library in under a minute — see add your photo and banner.

Open your own card on your phone and tap each social icon and link button in turn — WhatsApp, LinkedIn, a booking page, a portfolio. Destinations move: a booking link can expire, a document can get replaced. Fix anything dead from the Content tab; see add social and custom links.

Check what sits at the top

Look at your card the way the audience you meet most right now would. If a different section should lead — say, a booking link ahead of your About text before a busy event season — reorder it, or hide anything that no longer applies, from the Layout tab. See reorder and hide sections; nothing you hide is deleted.

If you're on Premium, glance at your numbers

Analytics shows total and unique visits over a date range you choose. A monthly glance tells you whether a change you made — a new photo, a moved link — coincided with more visits, or whether a card has gone quiet and needs a push. See read your analytics.

Make it a standing habit

Because every change saves instantly with nothing to reprint, the check itself is the only recurring cost. Attach it to something already on your calendar — the first Monday of the month, or your existing team meeting — so it happens without being a special task. If you do not have a card yet, create one for free first; there is nothing to maintain until then.

Frequently asked questions

How long should a monthly check actually take?

About five minutes for one card: a read of your details, a look at your photo, a tap through your links, and a glance at your Layout tab. Checking several team cards takes longer, but each one is still just those same four steps.

What should I check first if I only have a minute?

Tap your links. A wrong or dead link sends a visitor nowhere, which is a worse first impression than a slightly outdated photo or job title.
