What happens when someone taps or scans your digital business card

Follow what a visitor sees after tapping NFC or scanning your QR code: your MyInfo card opens, they save your contact, follow a link or send theirs.

You have set up your card. But what does the other person actually see when they tap or scan? Looking at your card through the visitor's eyes helps you decide what goes first. This post follows a visitor from the tap to the next step.

Step 1: the card opens in the browser

When someone taps your NFC card, scans your QR code or opens your link, your card loads in their phone browser. They install nothing and need no account. The address is short, such as myinfo.ae/yourname.

Step 2: they see your top section

Your photo, name and title sit at the top. They read who you are within a second or two, so make sure the photo and title are current; see the best photo and banner.

Step 3: they take one action

Below, they find what you have chosen to show: social icons, link buttons, a YouTube video and text sections. Typical actions are tapping Save Contact, opening WhatsApp, visiting a website or booking. Put the one you most want first using the Layout tab; see reorder and hide sections.

Step 4: they may save your contact

Save Contact adds you to their phone in one step. If you would rather skip the full page, the bypass setting can send visitors straight to your contact file or a social link; see send visitors straight to your contact.

Step 5: on Premium, they can send theirs

Premium cards show Exchange Contact, where visitors enter a name, phone and optional email, and the lead lands in your dashboard. See capture leads from your digital business card. A private Premium card asks for a six-digit code first.

Test it yourself

Open your own card on a different phone, ideally one you do not use daily, and tap through. Check that the first screen shows what you want and that every link works.

Frequently asked questions

Does the visitor need an app to open my card?

No. Your card opens in the phone's normal browser from an NFC tap, a QR scan or a link.

Can I see who opened my card?

Premium analytics shows visit counts, not the identity of visitors. If you want to know who they are, use Exchange Contact so they can send their details.
