In the UAE, clients often want to know a business is properly licensed before they call, pay a deposit or share documents. A paper card rarely has room for that line. A digital card does: you can show your trade licence number or professional registration number on your MyInfo card in a minute, so trust is built at the first tap.
Why a licence line helps on a digital card
A visitor who opens your card from an NFC tap or QR code has seconds to decide whether you look credible. Your name, photo and a clear licence or registration line answer a question many UAE clients quietly have. It also supports what professional digital cards in the UAE already signal: you are a real, reachable business.
How to add it with a text section
MyInfo's text section holds a titled block of plain text, which suits a licence line well.
- Open your card in the editor and select the Layout tab.
- Select Add a text section.
- Give it a short title, such as "Licensing", and enter your text.
- Select Save change.
Titles can be up to 60 characters and text up to 600. Full steps are in add a text section. Free cards have one text section and Premium cards up to three, so if your one section is already used for services or hours, see using text sections for services and hours to plan what goes where.
What to write
Keep it factual and short:
- The licence or registration name and number exactly as it appears on your official document.
- The issuing authority or free zone, if you want to show it.
- Your trading name, if it differs from the name on the card.
Check your licensing authority's own rules for how licence details should be displayed in your line of work. MyInfo does not set those rules, and we do not give legal advice.
What to keep off your card
A card is public to anyone who has the link. Show the number that identifies your business, not your documents or personal identifiers. Leave off Emirates ID numbers, passport details, bank details and personal numbers. For how to think about what visitors can see, read what is public on your digital business card, and for UAE data protection context see PDPL and your digital business card.
Place it where it gets seen
Move the section close to your contact and links so it is read with them. Use the Layout list to reorder or hide sections. If a number changes at renewal, update your card in seconds; nothing needs reprinting, which is a real advantage over paper.
