Use text sections to show your services, hours and offers

How to add text sections for services, opening hours or an offer to your MyInfo digital business card, and what to put in each one.

Not everything on a digital business card fits neatly into a button or a social icon. Your opening hours, a list of services, or a short seasonal offer need a few lines of plain text, not a link. MyInfo's text sections are built for exactly that, and setting one up takes about a minute.

Where text sections fit on your card

A card is made of several kinds of content: your details, social icons, link buttons, a video, and text sections. See links, videos and text on your card for the full list. A text section is the only one of these that doesn't point anywhere — it just shows a title and up to 600 characters of text, right on the card, with line breaks kept. That makes it the right place for information a visitor should read immediately, not click through to find.

Add a text section for your services

  1. Open your card in the editor and select the Layout tab.
  2. Select Add a text section.
  3. Give it a short title, such as "Services" or "What we offer," and list what you do — up to 600 characters, so keep it scannable rather than exhaustive.
  4. Select Save change.

A consultant might list the three services they're booked for most; a salon might list its main treatments so a client knows before they scroll to book. Full steps are in add a text section.

Add a text section for your opening hours

The same feature works for hours. Title it "Opening hours" and list your days and times on separate lines — line breaks carry through exactly as you type them, so a day-by-day list stays readable. This matters most for businesses whose hours actually change: shorter Ramadan hours, a summer schedule, or a holiday closure. Because it's a card, not a printed sign, updating it takes the same minute as creating it the first time.

Free vs Premium: how many you can add

Free cards can have one text section; Premium cards can have up to three. A single free card usually works best for either services or hours, whichever visitors ask about more. A Premium card has room for both, plus a short "about us" or a one-line offer, without crowding the rest of your links. See MyInfo Free vs Premium for what else changes between plans.

Put it in the right place

A text section is just another block in your Layout tab, so it can be moved above or below your links and hidden without deleting it. If hours matter most when someone lands on your card, move that section near the top; if it's only relevant sometimes, switch it off the rest of the time. See reorder and hide sections for how.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a text section and the About field?

The About field is your personal or business bio, shown once near the top of your card. Text sections are separate titled blocks you add yourself, for anything else you want visitors to read directly — services, hours, or an offer — and you can add more than one on a Premium card.

Only if there's nothing to click through to. A text section shows plain text only, with no clickable link inside it, so use a link button whenever you have a page, menu or booking form to send visitors to, and a text section for information they should read on the card itself.
