A digital business card is meant to be shared, so it is public by default. That is a feature, not a flaw, as long as you know what you are publishing.
What is public on a card
Everything you put on a public card can be seen by anyone with the link, the QR code or the NFC card: your name, photo, role, company, phone numbers, email, website, social links, videos and text sections. Treat it like a public poster.
Search engines and the directory
Public cards that have a name or company can appear in search engines such as Google, and in the MyInfo card directory. This helps people find you, but it also means your card can be found by anyone searching for your name.
Private cards, and cards with no name or company, are not listed.
How to stay in control
- Decide what to publish. Only add contact details you want strangers to have. Use a work number and email, not a personal one, if you prefer.
- Leave out addresses. A card does not need a home address.
- Review it. Open your card as a visitor from time to time and check it reads well.
- Use a private card when needed. A Premium card can be protected with a six-digit access code that you share only with chosen people. See privacy and private cards.
- Use a direct link if you do not want a page. The bypass setting sends visitors to your contact file or a social link instead of a full profile.
What MyInfo does with your photos
Photos you upload are resized and optimised, and hidden data such as location is removed from them. Each account can keep up to 10 photos.
About leads
If you use Premium lead capture, the details visitors send you are visible only to you in your dashboard, and you can export or manage them there.
Read the policy

A card is a tool for being found on your terms. Decide what to share, review it now and then, and it will work in your favour. Create your card.
