Some cards should not be open to everyone: a private banker's direct line, a luxury broker's off-market list, a VIP guest pack for an invitation-only dinner. A private digital business card lets you share those details only with people who hold a code. This guide covers when to use one and how to set it up in MyInfo.
What a private card does
A Premium card can be set to Private and protected with a six-digit access code. Visitors who open it see a prompt for the code and only see your card after entering it. A private card is not listed in search engines or the card directory. Private cards are a Premium feature; see privacy and private cards.

Steps are in make a card private.
Share the code carefully
Send the link and the code through separate messages, or give the code in person. Change the code whenever the guest list changes; you can do that yourself from the privacy settings. See make a digital business card private.
Pair it with a public card
Many people run two cards: a public one for general networking and a private one for key clients. See duplicate a card for a second business. Duplicating copies content, but not the plan, private state or access code, so set those on the new card yourself.
Remember what stays public
A private card still depends on who you give the code to. Anyone with the code can share it. Only add details you are comfortable with that audience holding. See digital business card privacy: what is public.
