You have a QR code business card, and now you want it on a shop window, an invoice or a stack of flyers. Printing is where most QR codes fail: too small, too close to a fold, pale ink on a coloured background. A code that does not scan is worse than no code at all, because the customer gives up. This guide covers how to print your MyInfo QR code in the UAE so it scans on the first try, wherever you put it.
Get the code from your card
Open your card and tap Show QR Code. Take a screenshot, crop it close and save the image. Step by step, see share your card with a QR code. The code holds your card's address, so it never expires and never needs reprinting when you change your phone number, links or photo. Every card has one, including the free plan.
Size it for the distance it is scanned from
- Business-card or invoice size: keep the code about 3 cm across, the minimum we recommend in QR code business cards.
- Posters, shop windows and roll-ups: scale it up. People scan from a metre or more away, so bigger is safer.
- Always leave a blank margin around the code and never crop into it.
Keep the contrast high
Use a dark code on a light background. Avoid printing it over a photo, a gradient or a coloured stripe, and avoid light-on-dark versions, which some phone cameras read less reliably. Glossy lamination and window glare can also wash a code out, so check it in the real light of the place.
Choose placement where people can actually scan
- Shop windows and counters: at eye or hand height, not behind a till or a display stand. A short line above it such as "Scan to save our details" helps.
- Invoices and delivery notes: in a corner clear of folds and staples, so a customer can save your contact when they pay.
- Packaging and menus: on a flat surface, away from seams and curves. See digital business cards for restaurants and cafés.
- Email signatures and slides: show it large enough to scan from a screen, and read add your digital business card to an email signature for the link version.
Test before you print a big batch
Print one copy on the actual paper or sticker. Scan it with an iPhone and an Android phone, from the distance a customer would stand, in the light of the room. Only then order the full run. If you carry an NFC card too, check that the QR and the tap open the same card.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to reprint my QR code if I change my details?
No. The code points to your card's address, not to a copy of your details, so scanning it always opens your latest card. You only need a new code if you change your card's address, so choose one you will keep.
What is the minimum size for a printed QR code?
For close-range print such as a card or invoice, around 3 cm across with a clear margin is a safe size. Make it larger for anything scanned from a distance, and always test a printed copy with more than one phone before ordering a big batch.
