On this page
A guest searches for your café on Google Maps, or a diner wants the menu without flagging down a server. A digital business card puts your menu, hours, booking link and reviews behind one QR code or NFC tap, and keeps them all current when something changes. Use this checklist to set yours up properly.
Build the card
- Menu link. A button to your menu, whether it's a PDF, a web page or a delivery-app listing.
- Reservations or WhatsApp. A button to your booking page, or a WhatsApp number for table requests.
- Opening hours and specials. A text section you can update the same day — including Ramadan and summer hours.
- Directions. A Google Directions icon so a first-time visitor doesn't have to retype your address into a separate maps app. See add Google Reviews and Directions icons.
- Reviews. A Google Reviews icon for guests to tap while the meal is still fresh in mind.
- Instagram, TikTok and a video. Icons for your social accounts, plus a short clip of the atmosphere.
Put it in the right order
Put the menu and booking button above your social icons. In the Layout tab, reorder or hide sections so the fastest path to a table comes first, not last.
Share it at every touchpoint
- On every table and the bill folder. A QR code that opens the same live card, so a menu change never means reprinting.
- On the door, window and takeaway bags. Guests scan on the way in or out.
- At the host stand or till. An NFC card or stand for a one-tap handover when greeting or checking out a guest.
- On delivery packaging and social posts. The same code follows the order home.
Turn first-time diners into regulars
On a Premium card, Exchange Contact lets a guest leave their name and number for a waitlist or a loyalty list, with nothing scribbled on a pad. Every entry lands in your lead inbox, which you can export to send a return-visit offer or a new-menu announcement.
Keep every branch on brand
Running more than one location? Give each branch its own card and address, then apply one theme to all of them so the colours match wherever a guest scans. See digital business cards for restaurants and cafés for the full picture.
Before you go live
- Open your card on your phone and tap every button, including the menu link.
- Ask a colleague to scan the QR code from across the till.
- Confirm your hours and menu link are current before you print anything.
