A digital business card is only as useful as the links on it, and the first thing most people check is whether their own platforms are supported. MyInfo has a set of built-in social icons for the platforms UAE professionals use most, and for everything else, a custom link button does the same job with no missing feature. Here's exactly what's built in and what to do with the rest.
The social icons built into MyInfo
From the Content tab of the editor, under Social media icons, you can add: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Snapchat, TikTok, Google, Google Reviews and Google Directions. Each one just needs your profile or action URL — paste it in and select Add social icon. See add social icons and link buttons for the exact steps, and Google Reviews and Directions icons if those two are new to you.
A social icon vs a link button
A social icon is a recognisable logo that opens a specific platform — a LinkedIn profile, a WhatsApp chat, a Google Maps route. A link button under Other links is a plain labelled button that can point at any URL at all: a booking page, a menu, a portfolio, a document, or a WhatsApp Business catalogue. See links, videos and text on your card for how the two sit together on one card.
Platforms without a built-in icon
If your audience is on X, YouTube, Threads, Behance, Pinterest or any platform without its own icon on MyInfo, add it as a custom link button instead:
- Open your card in the editor, on the Content tab.
- In Other links, enter a Button label, such as "Follow on X" or "My YouTube channel".
- Paste the profile URL as the Destination URL and select Add custom link.
The button works exactly like a social icon — one tap, straight to your profile — it just uses your label instead of a logo. Nothing is missing; it's the same destination with a text button rather than an icon.
Which icons to actually add
Add an icon only for a platform you're active on and want a stranger to visit right away. A near-empty profile does more harm than no icon at all. Most professionals do well with two or three: WhatsApp for a quick chat, LinkedIn for a professional trail, and Google Reviews or Directions if clients visit in person. Everything else can wait as a link button lower down, or be skipped. Reorder or hide any icon from the Layout tab at any time.
Keep the two working together
A salon or boutique might lead with a WhatsApp icon for chats and a link button for its catalogue; a consultant might keep LinkedIn as an icon and use a link button for a Calendly page. Both live on the same card, in whatever order suits your business, and both are included on every free MyInfo card — no icon or link button sits behind Premium.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a limit to how many social icons or link buttons I can add?
No fixed limit is enforced, but a card with too many icons becomes harder to scan. Add only the platforms that matter, and use the Layout tab to keep the most important ones near the top.
Can I use a link button for a platform that already has its own icon, like Instagram?
Yes. If you'd rather point Instagram to a specific post or highlight instead of your main profile, add it as a link button with its own label alongside, or instead of, the Instagram icon.
