Your digital business card lives at a short address such as myinfo.ae/yourname. Unlike your phone number or job title, this address cannot be changed once your card exists, so it is worth ten minutes of thought before you create your card. Here is how to pick one you will still be happy with in a few years.
The rules
MyInfo keeps card addresses simple:
- 3 to 20 letters
- Letters only — no spaces, numbers or symbols
- Lower case (whatever you type is converted automatically)
- Some words are reserved because they are already pages on the site, such as
help,blogandfeatures

Your name, or your business name?
- Freelancers, agents and consultants usually do best with their own name, such as
firstlast. People search for you, not your company. - Salons, clinics, restaurants and shops should use the business name people already know, so the address matches the sign, the menu and the WhatsApp Business profile.
- Sales teams sometimes need both: one address per person, plus a shared one for the business. See how to set up cards for a whole team.
Shorter wins
A short address is easier to say out loud at an event, easier to type from memory, and looks cleaner on a printed QR code or an NFC card. If your name is long, try a shortened version or your initials plus surname before reaching for hyphens or numbers — remember, numbers are not allowed anyway.
Skip jargon and internal abbreviations
An address that only makes sense inside your company is a bad address. A stranger scanning your card at a trade show should be able to guess it, not need it explained to them.
If your first choice is taken
Card addresses are unique across MyInfo. If your name or business name is already used, try adding your city (nameuae or namedubai), a middle initial, or your role. Avoid anything you would not want printed permanently on a card.
Lock it in
Once you are confident, create your card and set the address. You can still edit your details, photo, links and theme any time afterwards — only the address itself is fixed. If you later run a second business, note that each new card needs its own address, chosen the same way.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change my card address after I create it?
No. The address is permanent once your card exists. If you need a different one, create a new card and update your address wherever you shared the old link — printed materials, email signatures and social profiles.
What happens if the address I want is already taken?
Each address on MyInfo is unique, so you will need a variation: add your city, a middle initial, or a short qualifier like your role. Pick something you would be comfortable seeing on an NFC card or a QR code for years.
