When you open the Theme tab of your MyInfo card you will see both built-in styles and your own themes, and it is fair to ask which one you actually need. The short answer: a built-in template is the fastest way to a good-looking card, and a saved theme is the way to get your exact brand and keep several cards identical.
What a built-in template gives you
Every card starts with one of 22 built-in templates. You pick one under Built-in styles, the preview changes straight away, and nothing is saved until you choose it. Under Classic options you can add an accent colour and one of six card fonts. For a freelancer or a single professional this is usually enough. What a saved theme gives you
A theme is a saved set of design choices made in the theme studio: colours (accent, background, text, buttons) by hex code, heading and body fonts, text size, left or centre alignment, photo shape, cover banner, corner style and button style. The studio checks that text and background are readable together and will not let you save an unreadable pair. See create and apply a theme.
The deciding difference: one theme, many cards
A theme can be applied to more than one card, and when you edit it every card using it updates. A template does not do that: it is a choice made on each card.
